JOE's 5 for the Bank Holiday Weekend

Welcome to the weekend. Whether you are staying in or heading out we've got it covered. Time to leave the working week behind with our top 5 picks.

SEGA's arcade classic franchise returns this weekend, with Virtua Tennis 4 providing full motion controls all its platforms for the first time. Appearing on Xbox 360 Kinect, Playstation Move and the humble Wii, the series is geared for release just as the summer months kick in.

Witness the unlikely sight of a slimmed-down superhero Seth Rogen on BluRay

Love him or hate him, you have to respect funnyman Seth Rogen for taking the role of superhero The Green Hornet in Michel Gondry's adaptation of the masked adventurer. Arriving on DVD and BluRay this weekend, the film has a fantastic supporting cast that includes Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds) and the undeniably still-hot Cameron Diaz.

Rogen stars as Britt Reid, heir to his father's large company, who teams up with his late dad's assistant Kato (played by Bruce Lee in the original TV Series) to become a masked crime fighting team. Laughs and explosions follows.

Don't you want... to catch The Human League at Vicar Street?

Music lovers of a certain age are sure to jump at the chance to see a reunited The Human League this weekend on Vicar Street. The venue doesn't play host to too many acts that have sold over 20 million records worldwide so Sunday's gig is a must-see for fans of the group or anyone looking to revel in the joy of 1980s New Wave pop.

Tickets are still available for the altogether reasonable price of €33.60.

It mightn't be too late to grab tickets for Peter Kay at the O2

Tickets may have gone on sale well over a year ago but comedian Peter Kay finally visits the O2 this weekend for four shows from Friday to Sunday. The Tour That Doesn't Tour - Tour still has a few tickets available so if you're looking to clutch your sides in laughter anytime over the bank holiday weekend, make sure it's at Kay's gig.

Line up for the summer's first huge superhero epic, Thor

The most ambitious and potentially silly superhero movie yet shows up in Irish cinemas this week - Marvel's God of Thunder, Thor . Directed by Kenneth Branagh of all people, this $150m+ budgeted epic has the tricky task of balancing high fantasy elements with fish-out-of-water antics as Thor is banished to 'Earth realm' by his fearsome father, King Odin.

Alongside Oscar-winning heavyweights such as Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman, ex- Home & Away star Chris Hemsworth cuts a beefy figure as the powerful but arrogant warrior of the fantastical realm of Asgard. JOE's resident film critic Mark Kinsella came away extremely impressed .
