I got the Palm V because I'm the kinda person who gets sucked into getting something just because they're "new." This is not always the right thing to do... however. To be sure the Palm V is a smaller version of the Palm III. But as far as power goes the Palm III is still the way to go. So if you're just a casual user of the Palm the V will give you that wow factor... but if it's pure functionality (is that a real word?) that you need then the III is still the better choice!
