Bad Teacher

. Diaz is Elizabeth Halsey, the foul-mouthed, badly behaved and money hungry junior high teacher who finds she has a rival in the form of well-loved teacher Amy Squirrell (Lucy Punch). When rich, new substitute teacher, Scott Delacorte (Justin Timberlake) starts at the school, he confides he has a crush on the sweet-antured Squirrel. But gold-digger Elizabeth hatches a plan to get his attention. When she finds out Scott's previous girlfriend was very well-endowed in the boob department, Elizabeth decides to raise money to get breast implants. On finding out that the teacher whose class has the highest average gets an extra bonus, Elizabeth cracks down on her class intending to use the bonus as part of her implant fund. Her biggest competitor is (of course) Amy.

If the poster and synopsis doesn't show off what a horrible sounding film this is, check out the trailer below (in case you missed it before). Saying 'fuck' is not the same thing as delivering a joke, however much that might make scriptwriters' lives easier. In supporting roles are Molly Shannon, Eric Stonestreet and Jason Segel. If you do think this this film looks worthy of your money at the cinema, it's slated for release in the US and UK on June 24.

A slightly more serious Jack Sparrow takes centre stage in the latest banner for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides . This fourth Pirates outing will see Cap'n Jack and Barbossa on a quest for the fountain of youth. We can imagine their partnership isn't an easy one and it's made worse when Angelica (Penelope Cruz) forces Jack onto the ship belonging to her father, Blackbeard (Ian McShane). Needless to say, he's also interested in the fountain. The burning ships in the background of the poster indicate things aren't smooth sailing (heh) and Jack Sparrow has to get mean.

Those of us in the UK get the film first, on May 18 with the US release following shortly after on May 20. The poster comes via Empire .

And finally, the poster for Joseph Kahn's Detention has arrived online. The teen comedy/horror sees the students of Grizzly Lake facing a slasher movie killer who is picking off the students one by one. In a race against time to stop the killer the students find themselves in detention which also cuts through prom. There are rumours that the film contains alien beings and time travel – though we know it contians Dane Cook, so in terms of potential interest, it's still a toss-up.

The poster features the bear mascot, possibly drawn in blood with a skull for a mouth, accompanied by the tag line 'Cancel Your Future'. Detention premières at this year's SXSW Film Festival. Here's the trailer in case you missed it:
